GLOUCESTER STREET

Set in an ordinary street in an ordinary Australian city, Gloucester Street tells the story of a small group of people - an aging couple who have lived in the same house all their married lives; a single mother with five children; a busybody shop keeper; an isolated young man; three people trying to make their share house work; a lonely single woman; a couple of runaways hiding out in a squat. The only thing they have in common is their desire to call the terrace houses of Gloucester Street home. . .so when the mayor and his business associates decide to tear down the terraces in order to build a new high-rise residential building, the welfare of the residents is suddenly at stake.
